The Madina Arabic Books course videos are widely distributed for free study, and the official Madina Arabic learning material points learners to these lessons. We treat this series as public educational material and will still respond promptly if a rights holder raises a concern.

Moderate operational risk — no explicit reuse licence identified

Yasir Qadhi's lectures are widely shared across official publishers and fan-run educational accounts, and beneficial non-commercial sharing appears to be commonly tolerated. However, we have not identified a blanket licence or explicit permission allowing us to self-host complete lectures. Widespread availability, attribution, and our charitable purpose do not by themselves establish permission. We include this material for non-commercial educational access, preserve the speaker's context, identify the speaker and original publisher, and link to original sources where available. Mufti Menk is one of the most widely distributed Islamic speakers in the world. His primary distribution network is Muslim Central, a large non-profit publisher whose stated mission is to produce "free to use platforms and digital content." The free-to-use nature of this distribution network, combined with the non-commercial, educational character of our platform, places our use within the intended scope of this content.

Fair use basis — polished productions require extra care

Unlike raw lecture streams, Ustadh Majed Mahmoud's official channel produces highly polished, multi-episode docuseries such as The Unseen Series and The Story of Musa. His team carefully protects their production value, and video descriptions frequently note that materials are covered by standard Section 107 Fair Use guidelines for educational summaries. We treat our use of this content with stricter caution than raw lecture material, and will adjust or remove any content promptly upon request from him or his team.

Permitted via permissive community distribution inference

Sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud does not have an explicit textual copyright waiver on his channel. However, his lectures are heavily recorded at public masajid — such as Ballarat Masjid and Masjid Al-Humera — and shared freely across communal distribution networks including Digital Mimbar. The consistent pattern of open, free community sharing across these networks provides a reasonable basis for permissive inference. We will promptly remove or adjust content upon any request from him or those representing him.

Most caution required — major institutional network ownership

The greatest caution is required with Ustadh Yahya Al-Raaby. A significant portion of his most widely shared lectures are produced, filmed, and owned by major institutional media networks — most notably Eman Channel under their Light Upon Light series, and Al Furqan Islamic Centre. Corporate networks such as Eman Channel enforce strict, automated Content ID systems. We exercise maximum caution with this content, prioritise only material that appears to originate outside these institutional networks, and will immediately remove any content upon request.
